Sized for a one or two bedroom flat, and chosen so that none of it needs the landlord’s permission: two sealed combination alarms that mount with adhesive plates as well as screws, the 2.5 lb kitchen extinguisher, the 200-piece first-aid kit, the security bar from plate 9 and a door viewer.
No drilling into the door, nothing that has to come off the wall at the end of a tenancy, and all of it comes with you. Bought separately, about $175.
Fitting and care. Everything here can be fitted without drilling the door or the frame, but check your tenancy before mounting anything to a wall. The adhesive alarm plates need a clean, dry, painted surface and 24 hours to cure before the alarm goes on. Record the install date on both alarms. The security bar needs the track measured with the sash closed. When you move, take all of it — that is the point of the selection, and the alarms re-pair in a couple of minutes at the next place.
