Ten pounds with a 4-A:80-B:C rating is a workshop, barn or large garage extinguisher: roughly 22 seconds of discharge and enough agent to matter on a vehicle or a solvent fire that has had a minute to develop.
Rechargeable with a metal valve and a heavy vehicle-rated bracket rather than a wall hook, because a 10 lb cylinder on a light bracket comes off. Serviceable by any extinguisher company; keep the tag.
Fitting and care. Ten pounds is heavy for a wall bracket, so fix the bracket into a stud or into masonry, never into drywall alone. Mount it at a height where a person can lift the cylinder down under control rather than catching it. Check the gauge monthly and log it. Invert and shake twice a year to keep the powder loose. Have it professionally serviced at the interval on the tag — at this size a service is much cheaper than replacement, and the tag is what tells an insurer it was maintained.
