Two Grade 1 deadbolts keyed to the same cylinder, so the front and back doors of a house take one key. We cut them together before dispatch rather than shipping two locks and a rekeying kit — the kits work, but roughly a third of people never do it and end up carrying two keys for a decade.
Both include the reinforced strike and three-inch screws. Add the keypad deadbolt on plate 18 and we will key it to the same cylinder at no charge; say so at checkout.
Fitting and care. They arrive keyed alike; do not rekey one without the other or you have two locks and two keys again. Fit both reinforced strikes before either lock. Check each bolt throws its full inch with the door closed. If you add the keypad deadbolt later, tell us the order number and we will cut its cylinder to the same key. Keep one key off the premises — with a keyed-alike pair, a single key now opens the whole house, which is the convenience and also the risk.
