A keypad deadbolt that is a deadbolt: 20 user codes, a physical key override, one-touch locking and a weather-rated keypad down to -30°F. There is no app, no hub and no account, which means there is nothing to be discontinued in four years and nothing about your front door sitting on somebody else’s server.
Grade 2 to ANSI/BHMA A156.36 with a one-inch throw. Codes can be issued and revoked at the door in a few seconds, which is the actual use case — a contractor for a week, a house sitter for a fortnight.
Fitting and care. Change the two factory codes before you fit it, not after. Set a user code per person rather than sharing one, so a code can be revoked without changing everyone’s. The keypad is weather rated to -30°F but the battery is not: expect shorter life through a cold winter and change the cells in autumn as routine. Keep the override key somewhere that is not inside the house it opens. Wipe the keypad occasionally — worn digits on four keys tell a passer-by most of your code.
